Thieves stole a mobile phone from a red Vauxhall Corsa parked at Heath Crescent in Bradley overnight on Saturday.
They forced the nearside front window, reached in and took the Sony Experia phone from the door pocket.
Anyone with information can contact PC Martin Carson at Cross Hills Police Station on 101, quoting crime reference 12130169140.
