Haworth Festival organisers staged a planning meeting in the village to give people a chance to start debating ideas for next year’s event.
Volunteers got together at Cobbles and Clay cafe in Main Street last Thursday evening. Festival chairman, John Sargent, said it had been a great meeting, adding the 2014 festival is already looking very promising.
“The meeting went really well – we had lots of ideas, lots of people interested in helping, though we do still need more,” he added.
“The festival will probably be during the final two weekends in June next year, though that’s not definite yet as we need to check on a couple of potential clashes.
“We’ve had five music acts get in touch with us saying they would like to play. We’re seeking funding, and if anyone wants to sponsor us, they would be more than welcome.”
