Ever been frustrated that you’ve bought a second-hand jigsaw only to discover one of the pieces is missing?

East Morton residents have solved the problem with an innovative venture that allows people to check jigsaws are complete.

St Luke’s Church members have organised their inaugural Jigsaw Festival, which features more than 250 completed sets.

Church members, their families and friends have spent the past 12 months making jigsaws donated by villagers.

And from tomorrow until Sunday, they will all be on display – and available to buy – at nearby East Morton Primary School.

Church member, Len Wilson, said some people had made as many as 30 jigsaws during the past few months. He added: “People can see the pieces are all there, and we will break them up and put them in a box to sell.”

There will also be face painting, stalls and refreshments. Proceeds will go to the Breast Cancer Campaign and St Luke’s Church.

Tickets for tomorrow’s preview evening, which will be opened by Keighley MP Kris Hopkins, cost £5 from 01274 569870. The festival will also be open on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, with admission £2.
