A paralysed Barnoldswick woman has praised Good Samaritans in Keighley who helped when her car broke down.
Joyce Edgar, who has motor neurone disease and relies on a ventilator, was travelling through Keighley with two carers.
The group stopped for petrol in Hard Ings Road, but their vehicle would not start again after they filled up.
Joyce said: “This could have been very stressful for me, even though I have complete confidence in my two very capable carers.
“Two individuals came to our rescue, and they couldn’t do enough to help and took the stress out of the situation.”
Joyce wanted to publicly thank the two “special people” through the Keighley News. She said: “They have restored my faith in human nature and turned a negative into a positive.”
