Volunteers recently gave up their time to tidy up the grounds of Cliffe Castle Museum in Keighley.
Clean-up organiser and Keighley resident Leo Robinson, along with five other helpers, worked for two hours to collect 12 bags of rubbish.
Mr Robinson said: “Five of the people who took part were from St Mark’s Church – they’ve done some of these litter-picking efforts before, so knew what to do.
“It was the first action day I’ve organised but it went rather well, and I’d like to thank the people from the church who came on the day.
“I’m excited the Heritage Lottery Fund has awarded £3 million for improvements to Cliffe Castle Park and the cafe. I understand the decisions on how the money will be spent will be made in consultation with the Cliffe Castle Park Conservation Group.
“With their help for Keighley’s heritage tourism industry, it will be able to give the local economy another boost.”
