Haworth’s third beer festival runs until Sunday at The Bronte School Rooms. There will be a range of ales, ciders and draught lagers available to try. Admission is £3 and the pint will be £3 per pint.

On Sunday there will be another ‘Go Local’ free event for local postcodes. Anyone living in BD20, BD21 and BD22 can visit any of several locations provided they take proof of residence, for example a utilities bill, passport, driving licence. The places to visit include The Bronte Parsonage, the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, East Riddlesden Hall, Keighley Police Museum, Cliffe Castle, Ingrow Loco Museum of Rail and Travel. Also there will be free travel Heritage Bus number 22.
St James’ Church, Cross Roads, hosts an April Fashion Show by The Complete Clothes Company on Tuesday from 7.30pm. On sale will be ex-chain store clothes and accessories at bargain prices. Entry is £2.50 which includes refreshments.
Lees Methodist Church this Sunday has its more informal, friendly Cafe Church in the hall at 1pm, led by the Rev Rosemary Nash, to which all are welcome. There is no 10.30am service.
Haworth Tennis Club has held its annual general meeting, which means that 2014 subs should be paid to Jens Hislop in exchange for the new key and membership card. Application forms for membership can be obtained by e-mail by contacting Jens. The tennis court padlocks have been changed, so the old red keys will need to be exchanged. Membership is open to all and members can play at any time, even through winter on occasions. An appeal has gone out to help raise funds for local sculptor Craig Dyson to create a permanent sculpture in Haworth to celebrate the Tour de France’s visit to Yorkshire in July.
