The 25th Keighley/Long Lee Scout group also meets there on Thursdays, Beavers meet from 5.15-6.15pm, Cubs from 6.30-7.45pm and Scouts from 7.45-9.15pm. Airedale Male Voice Choir will be singing at St Barnabas’ Parish Church on Saturday, May 17 at 7pm. Tickets are £7.
The Rev Barbara Walls was the preacher at Long Lee Methodist Chapel on Sunday morning. It was a Ladies’ Day service and all the duties were undertaken by lady chapel members. The Rev Bruce Grainger was the celebrant at the sung parish communion service at St Barnabas’ Parish Church. He preached on how the resurrection meant Jesus was no longer confined and how it answered some of the disciples fears. Readers were Joyce Samuels and Marie Driver. The intercessions were led by Margaret Anstey and the chalice administered by Jill Dodsworth. Edna Huggett was organist.
