West Yorkshire legal firm LCF Law has named the Emergency Department Appeal as its charity of the year.
Staff have been fundraising in a variety of ways, including their Ilkley office donating fees from their legal document signing service.
LCF law solicitor Ann Christian came up with the idea, and it was gladly accepted by the hospital’s charity fundraiser, Bronagh Daly.
Bronagh receives regular updates from Ann about how the fundraising is going.
Bronagh said: “Ann and the team have been really supportive of our plans to raise funds for the children’s distraction wall.
“It is wonderful to have the support of such an active local business. They have helped spread the message of the appeal.”
All funds raised by LCF Law will be used to pay for the distraction walls, which will be installed in the children’s assessment and treatment areas.
Bronagh added: “There are many ways local businesses can support the appeal, from a dress-down day at work to arranging your own corporate event to raise funds and awareness of our appeal.”
A leaflet with 60 fun fundraising ideas is available to local businesses.
