Rebecca Malin – head of business development at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust – put her best foot forward to boost the campaign.
She took part in last month’s London Marathon and raised £1,114 – more than double her target.
“It was the toughest challenge I have ever endured, but as it was for such a special cause, I kept on running and I was delighted to finish in five hours 30 minutes,” she said.
“Thank you to everyone who sponsored me. Every penny donated will make a massive difference to the thousands of patients who come to the A&E department each month.
“The funds raised through my marathon will go directly towards a specialist cardiac monitor.”
Anyone interested in taking part in a run for the appeal should call (01535) 294546 for a sponsorship pack and T-shirt.
