A ‘Festa’ evening organised by the Italian Association of Keighley raised £1,900 for Manorlands.
And the group’s committee rounded the donation up to £2,000.
The Festa was held at Holy Family School in Keighley and was attended by more than 150 people. Committee members made their own meals and ran the bar. Brian Langford, of Powell and Family Funeral Directors, covered the school hire cost and was the MC and DJ for the evening.
Association chairman, Leonardo Ferrara, presented the proceeds to Manorlands fundraiser, Andrew Wood, who attended the event.
He thanked members for all their hard work, as well as those had made donations of cash and raffle prizes.
He added: “This was a great event, enjoyed by all, raising a fantastic amount for care in the local area.”
