UPDATED rolls of honour containing the names of Cowling men who gave their lives during both world wars will be displayed in the village from next month.
They will go on show following the Remembrance Sunday commemorations on November 9.
“The updated rolls are now ready for framing and will be hung in our five public buildings,” said Cowling parish councillor Joan Tindale.
The remembrance service, at St Andrew’s Methodist Church at 10.30am, will be followed by an act of remembrance and wreath-laying at the memorial in the Main Street recreation ground. A wreath will also be placed on the memorial at Holy Trinity Church. The service will be led by the Rev Nigel Ogley.
Cowling is also contributing to a display of First World War memorabilia and information at Cross Hills Library.
