A MAN arrested this morning on suspicion of murder following an incident in Keighley is still being questioned by detectives.
Police were called by the ambulance service to Chapel Lane in the town centre just before 4am.
Two men had suffered serious stab wounds.
One, believed to be a 23-year-old Eastern European, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other, also understood to be 23, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary where his condition is described as critical but stable.
The 34-year-old suspect was arrested nearby.
Police and forensic teams were still at the scene this afternoon and a large area had been cordoned off.
Detective Superintendent Simon Atkinson, of Protective Services (Crime), has issued a plea for anyone with information to come forward.
"I am appealing to anyone who saw fighting or suspicious behaviour in the Chapel Lane area of Keighley between 3am and 4am or who has any information about this incident to contact Bradford District CID on 101. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
