A DRINK-DRIVER jumped two red lights while fleeing from the police at speeds of up to 100mph, Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday.
Nicholas Hanson, 20, of Arctic Street, Keighley, had two passengers in his car, and two small bags of cannabis down his trousers during the pursuit at 3.30am on August 31.
The building worker pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, possession of cannabis, driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop for the police.
He was sentenced to four months in a young offender institution, suspended for two years, with 100 hours of unpaid work and a 30 day activity requirement with the probation service.
Paul Nicholson, prosecuting, said police spotted Hanson's vehicle on Hard Ings Road, Keighley, and pursued it for about a mile.
Hanson pulled up after heading towards Riddlesden.
He fled on foot but was arrested and made no comment in his police interview.
His barrister, Gerald Hendron, said Hanson was a hard working young man in a stable relationship.
The roads were very quiet at the time and no one was hurt.
Hanson was banned from driving for 12 months.
