AN ACCORDIONIST who is music to the ears of charitable causes across the district is raising money for Manorlands in the run-up to Christmas.
Derek Steele will be performing at the entrance to Marks & Spencer in Keighley for the next three Fridays, from tomorrow (Dec 5), in aid of the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
He boosts the coffers of organisations and appeals with regular stints in the town.
Last year Silsden man Mr Steele played over four days for Manorlands, coining-in about £700.
"We are delighted that Derek has once again offered to raise money for us and are extremely grateful to him and to Marks & Spencer," said Manorlands-based Sue Ryder fundraiser, Andrew Wood.
"He's a lovely chap and his playing went down very well with shoppers last year."
Bag packing in aid of Manorlands will also take place at the M&S store, on December 13 and 20.
