THIS festive season the Ilkley and Skipton Chamber Choir will fill the church of St Mary’s in Burley-in-Wharfedale with the music of Handel, Bach and Palestrina, as well as lots of traditional carols.
All tickets sold for the celebration of Christmas music will support the work of Leeds Mencap, a charity that provides support for children and adults with learning disabilities and their families and carers.
Musical director Robert Webb said: “The concert promises to have something for everything from the Christmas repertoire – from traditional European carols to Christmas music composed by 20th-century English composers Holst, Vaughan Williams and Darke.”
The concert is on December 13 at 7.30pm. Visit leedsmencap.org.uk or call 01943 864405 to book tickets.
