Proceeds from this year’s Riddlesden Gala are helping hungry Keighley families at Christmas.
The gala committee has given some of the proceeds from the summer event to the Salvation Army to support its food bank.
The committee gave £1,300 to the Salvation Army this month, following its recent donation of £2,000 to Haworth Riding for the Disabled.
Salvation Army spokesman Chris Bown said: “The Riddlesden Gala committee donation is fantastic and very much appreciated.”
The gala committee spend all year planning and organising Riddlesden Gala in a bid to benefit the entire community.
Hundreds of people gathered at Riddlesden St Mary's Primary School last summer for the 31st annual gala.
The festivities began with the traditional procession from the Marquis of Granby pub to the school, led by the City of Bradford Pipe Band and featuring local Brownies, Cub Scouts, school pupils, the Jamba Samba band and Silsden All Stars Majorettes.
The school grounds hosted many attractions.
