THE charitable arm of a Bradford-based business has donated £8,000 to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
The hospital has received the money from the charitable trust of cash plan provider Sovereign Health Care.
Rob Dearden, director of nursing at Airedale, said: “I'd like to thank Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust for another very generous donation.
“Last year, their grant went towards training and equipment to enhance care for patients in hospital and in the community – for example, clinical competency development training for our advanced nurse practitioners and end-of-life care training for nurses, health care support workers and other staff.
“It was also used to support work around dementia and provided both training and equipment to improve care for these vulnerable patients.”
Russ Piper, a trustee of Sovereign Health Care Charitable Trust, said: "Airedale NHS Foundation Trust is vital in providing much-needed care in the large area it serves, and we’re delighted to supply this useful grant to further its good work.”
