THE fleet and crews of another former local bus service line up for the camera near what looks like Penistone Hill, probably in the 1920s soon after the start of the Bronte Bus Company.
Operating from Sun Street, Haworth, Bronte buses ran to Oxenhope via Marsh, and to Stanbury. They also provided a rather adventurous route from Haworth railway station to Laneshaw Bridge by way of the twisting rural Herders road.
The photograph has been supplied by Mr Colin Deakin, of Mytholmes Lane, Haworth.
