TAKERS have been found for a stash of unused football equipment discovered in Haworth.
Ashna Yates, a parish councillor and member of the group managing Haworth Village Hall and Community Hub, said the kits and equipment had gone to a Worth Valley football club, a football team in Keighley and a local school which offered to make use of these items.
The equipment was found in an outbuilding near the village hall, formerly known as Haworth Community Centre.
Cllr Yates said most of the kit had been given to Oakworth Juniors Football Club, with the remainder being taken by a Keighley-based team for five to 10-year-olds and also by Lees Primary School.
"We've very pleased that most of it has gone," she said. "A lot of it was labelled as belonging to Oakworth Juniors and some belonged to Lees Primary, so it's gone back to them.
"All we have left now is one bag of unlabelled football tops, shorts and socks for players aged eleven and over."
People can call 077207 51752 if they are interested in the remaining football clothing.
