WITH all the pain and suffering in the world, many people find it difficult to see that a loving God exists. “Where is God among the starving children in Africa, or among the mothers and babies with the Zika virus in Brazil?"
I have heard people say they can't believe in a God who could watch all the evil and suffering in this world and do nothing!
But there are many good things happening in the world, and many moving stories of people doing amazingly good things. However they rarely make the news.
God became man in Jesus to show us who He is and what He is like. He lived among people and died as a sacrifice for evil to put things right.
Now, because of the sacrifice of Jesus, a way has been made for anyone to be born again of the Holy Spirit of God; to become “another (like) Jesus” in the world, with the same miraculous powers; to take the love of God into the dark places in the world.
All it takes to be born again, is to surrender as completely as we can to Him our present life. Then we are able to take the ministry of Jesus to the needy of the world.
This is where we will find God working today; working in people of faith in him to bring love, comfort and succour to those in need. As it says in the Bible, “It's no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” How amazing is that? Now I can do everything through him.
