HAWORTH Primary School has closed for the rest of today due to a power cut.
The school in Rawden Road was forced to close because it has no hygiene facilites. Parents have been asked to pick up their children.
Northern Powergrid said 114 customers in the Main Street, Church Street and Rawden Road area had been without power since about 11.40am.
Bronte Parsonage Museum this morning tweeted that they had been forced to close temporarily due to the lack of electricity in the village’s tourist heartland.
A Northern Powergrid spokesman said: “We have a fault in an underground power cable affecting 114 customers. We’re expecting power to be on by 2.40pm.”
