GROUNDBREAKING special effects and specialist costumes once again take centre stage alongside Cinderella in Bradford.
For the seventh year running, the Bradford Alhambra pantomime promises a set of show-stopping effects created by The Twins FX.
In addition, this year Cinderella will boast input by Mike Coltman and his team at Costume Construction with an array of specialty costumes and props.
For the past 30 years Mike and his team have been designing and making specialty costumes, props and puppets for theatre, television, ballet, opera and film as well as contributing to arena productions with icons such as Paul McCartney and Diana Ross.
Costume Construction has a long association with Qdos Entertainment, who produce the Bradford panto, and during the pantomime season they have giants, dwarfs, dogs, crocodiles, dames and farm animals in productions across the country.
Mike said: “Although working in many areas, the team particularly loves pantomime.
“The possibilities with designing for pantomime are limitless – you can never go too far, too big, or too glittery. And you don’t get more glittery than a Qdos Entertainment pantomime.
“Although a Christmas break is appreciated, the team is always excited to start work on next year’s shows and just as they have vacuumed up the last sequin, it is time to get them out again!”
Cinderella runs from Saturday, December 16 to Sunday, January 28,.
