USERS OF Haworth’s biggest car park of Weavers Hill have been promised an improvement to its look.
Bradford Council’s Parking Services department has agreed to carry out regular streaming and significant tree work.
According to a recent report to Keighley Area Committee, the council took on the task after Community Payback had cut back overgrown vegetation.
Also planned were new crime prevention signs to replace existing worn-out signs, and a survey to ask the views of coach drivers on several issues.
The survey was intended to complement work being done through the Brontë Country Partnership and Haworth, Cross Roads in Stanbury Parish Council to improve facilities for visitors and residents.
During the summer, Haworth residents carried out a clean-up in nearby Haworth churchyard, digging out gravestones that had lain hidden for decades under leaf mould.
