A HAWORTH museum shop is strictly one of the best in the country.
The outlet at the Brontë Parsonage Museum gained a Highly Commended prize in the Best Shop category of the Museums + Heritage Awards.
Strictly Come Dancing contestant Rev Richard Coles, an admirer of the Brontës, presented the award and stated: “Well done to everyone in Haworth.”
Former singer the Rev Coles was host for the prestigious event in London, which was attended by the museum’s executive director Kitty Wright and retail manager Danielle Cadamarteri.
Kitty said: “This is a brilliant achievement and I’m really proud of the whole museum team: our curatorial and events staff who create such wonderful exhibits, our marketing team who promote and publicise our offer, our knowledgeable front of house staff who make visitors feel welcome, and of course the retail team.
“We have a fabulous range of gifts for visitors to choose from, with many exclusive items, and our retail team always go the extra mile to ensure a visit to the shop is as memorable as looking around the Parsonage.”
