THE HOLIDAYS are coming to an end and the kids are getting ready for their new adventures after the holidays.

It’s been a great summer but its not quite over yet – there are still a few films due for release which I know will interest you.

A Stork’s Journey (U) will be released in the UK on August 30; in this film an orphaned sparrow is adopted and raised by storks.

When the family leaves on its annual migration, the little sparrow attempts to participate in the long, arduous journey.

We have had some fantastic animations this summer and I’m sure this one will be just as good.

Originally released last year in Germany, this film has been doing well under its other name ‘Richard the Stork’ so if you like your animal animations then keep an eye out for this one flying in!

It’s getting closer and closer to Halloween and I know there are some real scares heading your way.

To start this year’s run of horror movies we have the next chapter in the Conjuring universe.

The Nun (15) will be creeping its way to cinemas on September 6.

With the success of other films in its franchise such as Annabelle: Creation and The Conjuring 2, I’m really looking forward to this one.

Unless you’re brave, we recommend bringing a friend just in case you need someone to hide behind.

Upgrade (15) is the next thriller to be hitting the big screens, released on August 31.

A brutal mugging leaves Grey Trace paralysed in the hospital and his beloved wife dead. A billionaire inventor soon offers Trace a cure, an artificial intelligence implant called STEM that will enhance his body.

Now able to walk, Grey finds that he also has superhuman strength and agility, skills he uses to seek revenge against the thugs who destroyed his life.

I imagine this to be like The Taken crossed with Dr Strange so I’m quite looking forward to see how they have done with this one.

Now some dates for your diaries.

We have managed to squeeze in some more live broadcasts to keep you all entertained over the coming autumn months, so make sure you check these out because I’m sure there’s something that will take your fancy.

They are: La Boheme on Sydney Harbour, September, 13, 8pm; Elvis ’68 50th anniversary, September 16, 2.45pm; The Merry Widow (Australian ballet), September 20, 8.30pm; The Winter’s Tale (Shakespeare Globe Theatre), October 4, 7.15pm; The Importance of Being Earnest (Oscar Wilde), October 9, 7.15pm; Cliff Richard’s 60th anniversary tour, October 12, 8pm.

On top of that, Keighley Film Club have announced their next four films.
