Keighley's firefighters responded to car fire in a street in Highfield
A PARKED car in Keighley was destroyed by a fire last night. (Sept 9)
The blaze wrote off a Volvo in Barlow Road, Highfield. The Keighley fire crew was called to the scene at 10.20pm.
A spokesman for Keighley Fire Station said the vehicle was well alight by the time the crew arrived.
Firefighters used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames.
The spokesman added: "We were there for about 20 minutes but the car was not salvageable. The cause of the fire is unknown."
