A FREE social event will kick off the 150th anniversary celebrations at St Thomas’s Church, in Sutton-in-Craven.
"Stories of Life and Faith in Sutton" takes place at the church on Friday May 10 at 7.30pm.
There will be cheese and wine, videos of what St Thomas’s means to different people, reminiscing about past events and a presentation of a recent survey of villagers about their opinions on matters of faith and church.
Assistant curate, the Reverend Brian Greenfield, said: “It’s been fascinating to have met different people and to have heard so many stories about things that have happened in St Thomas’s and at ‘Tommy’s Hall’ over the years.
"Our church has always played a central role in village life, and I’m looking forward to sharing more stories on May 10. Everyone is welcome to come along to this free event. We’d love to hear their stories.”
