PANTO will be a real drag as the Frock Fairies present their latest show in Bradford this autumn.
Baga Chipz, Divina De Campo and Blu Hydrangea - best known from Series One of TV show Drag Race – are among performers in the adult panto Sleeping (with) Beauty.
Think Dream Girls meets Destiny’s Child as the show hits the stage at St George’s Hall on September 2. As the kingdom rejoices at the birth of the Princess Beauty, her christening celebrations begin.
Baga, Divina and Blu, AKA The Frock Fairies, bestow their gifts upon the princess but when the evil Carabosse makes an unwanted visit, she leaves a curse upon Princess Beauty that on her 18th birthday she will prick her finger and die.
A spokesman said: “Join us on this fabulously filthy, camp adventure to see if true love will still prevail and if Prince Carl will get the girl. With lots of rude, crude and naughty jokes and gags from Muddles and Nurse Nelly plus a back catalogue of the cheesiest of anthems - this is one adult show you do not want to miss!”
Baga Chipz is the stage name of Leo Loren, a British drag queen who competed on the first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and as part of the Buffalo Girls, a drag troupe also featuring Lady Lloyd and Silver Summers.
In 2014, Chipz starred in Drag Queens of London, a series documenting the lives of drag queens over a three-month period, both on and off the stage.
Blu Hydrangea is the stage name of Jesus Joshua Cargill, and came fifth on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
