A SHED was destroyed in a blaze at Silsden last night.

One crew from the town’s fire station was called out to deal with the incident, in Sackville Road, at 9.20pm.

A gas cylinder in the shed meant firefighters had to take extra precautions.

Breathing apparatus was worn and a hose reel used to tackle the blaze.

“The shed was 100 per cent involved in fire and because of the presence of the cylinder we had to be very cautious,” said Dom Creed, watch commander at Silsden fire station.

Firefighters spent about an hour at the scene.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
