Fire alert at Screwfix premises
FIREFIGHTERS were called out after 'smoke' was spotted billowing from the Screwfix premises at Crossflatts last night.
The incident was reported as a building fire and crews from Keighley, Bingley and Shipley fire stations were sent to the scene – at the Castlefields Industrial Estate – at about 9.45pm.
On arrival, they discovered that a security system which emits a smoke-like fog had activated.
Security personnel attended.
The firefighters used a special high-pressure fan to help ventilate the building.
