MUSIC events are planned at Wilsden and Cullingworth village halls.
Jon Gomm, a globally-acclaimed acoustic/percussive guitarist, will kick-off his The Faintest Idea tour at Wilsden on Saturday, September 11, at 7pm. He will be supported by local singer-songwriter Joe Pointon. Tickets are £14.
Next-up in the village will be acoustic duo PlumHall, on September 25, 7pm. It will be supported by locally-based Richard Fairlie. Tickets cost £9.
And on Friday, December 3, at 7pm, Wilsden-based duo Hazjak will perform a mix of Americana, folk and acoustic music. ‘Shropshire Bard’ David Parkes will also feature, together with locally-based talent. Tickets are £7 for adults and £3 for under-18s.
A family music and comedy night is being staged at Cullingworth Village Hall on Saturday, September 18. Skinner & T’witch will combine comedy and satire with folk, flamenco and theatre-style songs. And Steeton-based band The Thursdays – whose repertoire is as diverse as Elvis, The Killers, Donna Summer and Queen – will perform. Tickets are £9 for adults and £4.50 for under-18s.
There will be a licensed bar at all events.
