KEIGHLEY people will have the chance on Thursday (September 30) to learn more about Bradford’s bid to be UK City of Culture in 2025.
A ‘roadshow’ is being staged at the town’s market hall, in Low Street, between 10am and noon.
There will be information about the bid, free refreshments and goodies and a chance for the public to give its views.
The event is among a series being staged across the district.
Richard Shaw, the bid director, said: “We’ve already had thousands of conversations with numerous people and groups from all corners of Bradford as part of the early bid development stages – but as the competition heats up, we’re determined to have even more.
“We are submitting this ambitious UK City of Culture bid on behalf of every citizen of the Bradford district, so it’s of vital importance that they’re able to have their say on what goes in it – as well as having numerous opportunities to put questions to our team.”
