A VILLAGE’S Christmas lights will be switched later this month.
The annual ceremony is being staged on Friday, November 19, by Lees cum Cross Roads Village Association.
A ‘mystery special guest’ will perform the switch on.
The event takes place on land adjacent to the almshouses, in Haworth Road, at 7pm. It will be followed by a children’s competition.
Bev Underwood, secretary of the village association, said: “It promises to be a wonderful evening and everyone is welcome to come along.”
She adds that the parish council funds the Christmas tree and contributes towards the village lights.
