Residents are being urged to play a direct part in Keighley's Streets Ahead regeneration scheme.

They can become "street reps" reporting local problems, or join their neighbourhood's improvement team.

The invite is for people living in Bracken Bank, Ingrow, Knowle Park, Woodhouse or Spring Bank.

Bradford Council is spending at least £200,000 across the areas over the four-year programme.

Streets Ahead has set up three improvement teams, bringing together councillors and workers with local agencies.

Residents are invited to join, particularly if they have ideas on how to improve their community.

The teams will decide priorities for the neigh-bourhoods and recommend where money should be spent.

Street reps are needed for every street in the Streets Ahead area to liaise between fellow residents and agencies.

Anyone interested in the posts should contact Street Ahead manager Nigel Cawthorne on 01535 618088.
