A married couple living in or near Keighley could be singled out for a special reward as part of a UK-wide campaign.

A search has begun to find West Yorkshire's longest married couple.

The campaign was launched by the over-60s energy scheme "StayWarm from E.ON" to celebrate successful older people.

Jean Webb, marketing manager for StayWarm, said: "We are on the look out for the couple who has been married longest in the UK and are seeking nominations from West Yorkshire.

"They don't need to have had the dramas of Jack and Vera Duckworth, or the ups and downs of Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, only to have been married for the longest time.

"Entry is simple - if you think you have the longest marriage or you know of a couple who you think might have the longest marriage in the region, then call us on 0800 068 7302 with the details."

The longest-married couple in West Yorkshire will be treated by StayWarm to a party for themselves, their family and friends.

The StayWarm scheme is designed exclusively for the over 60s.
