CALLING all photographers – the Keighley News, in conjunction with our sister paper the Bradford Telegraph & Argus, is launching a competition to find the photographer of the year.
The Telegraph & Argus Camera Club is a group for amateur photographers who wanted to showcase their work, swap tips with fellow enthusiasts and see their pictures in print. The club also runs regular competitions and this month we are launching our biggest yet – the Camera Club Yorkshire Photographer of the Year.
We are looking for your best images taken during 2021. There is no set subject so you can submit photos of everything from landscapes to family or even your pets. The winner will receive a cheque for £100, plus a framed print and have a spread of their best photos printed in the Keighley News. The runner-up will receive a cheque for £50.
The contest is open to all photographers all we ask is that you join our camera club and submit your images via the club’s private Facebook group. Photos should be uploaded with the hash tag #picoftheyear so they can be identified by the judges. To join simply search for ‘The Bradford Telegraph & Argus Camera Club’ on Facebook.
The closing date for entries is December 22 and the winner will be announced in the week beginning Monday, January 3.
