A FORMER cafe in Keighley town centre could be converted into a micropub.
Planning permission is being sought for a change of use of the premises, in Church Street.
Until nine months ago, the site housed Cafe 61. Prior to that it had been home to a takeaway restaurant.
Applicant Christopher Melling says the new micropub would boost the early-evening economy in that part of Keighley.
The opening hours applied for are until 11pm each day.
One full-time and two part-time jobs would be created.
In a supporting statement, the applicant says: "The main thrust of the business is to operate as a uniquely-themed bar serving international/continental brands – this is a unique business opportunity for Keighley and investment in the town should be welcomed."
