Whinfield Centre bosses feared structural damage after seeing cracks in the interior plaster.

They had to cancel the weekly luncheon club, parent and toddler group and youth club. Centre worker Tracey Smith said residents on the Keighley estate told her a car had smashed into the wall then driven off. The incident is believed to have happened last weekend.

A Bradford Council engineer examined the building this week and declared it was safe to use.

Activities will begin as normal from Monday.
