A Mini Cooper was stolen during a house burglary in Farnhill on Sunday.

Thieves got into the house in Main Street through the unlocked front door, between 7.30 and 9.15pm.

Inside they found the keys for the £11,000 black Mini, registration K11 JLJ.

Police have described the car as very distinctive because it has a silver Union Jack on the roof and chrome wing mirrors.

The thieves also took a £700 black leather saddle and a Musto riding coat with a hood, which is valued at £120. The Mini only had around 14 miles of petrol left in it. Anyone with information can contact the police on 0845 6060 247.
