POETRY performances are returning to a historic pub with a long literary legacy.
Monthly sessions are being held at the Black Bull in Haworth, where in the 1830s Branwell Bronte entertained travellers and guests with stories and poems.
Launching the new series next Wednesday (February 23), from 7.30pm to 9pm, is Leeds-based poet James Nash.
He will talk about his inspirations, read some poems from his new collection – Heart Stones – sign copies and answer questions.
The Poetry Curious events are being staged by the pub in conjunction with Wave of Nostalgia, an independent bookseller in the village.
Tickets are £3 – including a glass of wine – from the Black Bull on 01535 644254 or Wave of Nostalgia, in Main Street (01535 538352).
