A STATIC caravan home was destroyed in a blaze last night.

The occupant was out at the time, but his pet dog died in the fire.

Firefighters were called out to the farmstead site in Back Shaw Lane, Hainworth Shaw, Keighley, at about 6.40pm.

Neighbours had raised the alarm.

Crews from Keighley, Bingley and Illingworth fire stations attended and used two water jets to tackle the inferno.

It took about 20 minutes to bring the blaze under control and crews remained at the scene for around two hours.

The cause of the fire is being treated as accidental.
