POPULAR sketching workshops staged by Cliffe Castle Support Group are being relaunched at the Keighley museum.

The five, free Saturday sessions – between 11.15am and 3.15pm – will explore the museum and park, and will be run by artist Louise Garrett.

A spokesperson said: "The workshops are aimed at adults wanting to learn how to 'draw in the moment' or rekindle a forgotten skill.

"A sketch book is provided, plus use of materials. All that participants need to bring is a packed lunch, and wear clothes suitable for walking in the park.

"Louise, an experienced local artist, is always on hand offering lots of encouragement and support.

"The workshops are designed to try out different materials – pens, crayon and paint – and cover a variety of techniques including collage, printing, stencils and stamping.

"The sessions come highly recommended by previous participants."

The first workshop, Collecting Treasures, is on Saturday, April 9.

Future sessions are Slow Hunting and Gathering on May 7, Now Spring has Clad the Grove in Green on June 11, Tree Bathing for Sketchers on July 9 and Gothic Skylines on July 30.

Booking is essential – email Cliffe.Castle@bradford.gov.uk, phone 01535 618231 or call at the museum.
