A STORE is reopening this Thursday (April 7) – with a new look and a promise of extra jobs.
Aldi closed its Keighley Road, Silsden, supermarket last Friday to undergo a refurbishment.
The work was part of a £600 million investment in the company's outlets and services across the UK.
At the 1,140sqm-retail-space Silsden site, various improvements have been made based on customer feedback.
More room has been dedicated to products including meat and fish and Lacura health and beauty, plus beers, wines and spirits.
There is an improved Food to Go section, and new freezers have been installed.
Store manager, Dean Holtom, says: "The format has been created to make shopping easier for our customers and it includes more space and clearer signage.
"The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome back our loyal customers so that they can see it for themselves.
"We’re committed to making sure the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and services they’re used to."
The store currently has a 32-strong workforce, but additional jobs are being created.
Aldi is Britain’s fifth largest supermarket company, with over 950 stores and around 38,000 staff.
