A developer is to surface a currently unadopted road.

Skipton Properties will carry out the £70,000 improvement work at Damems Lane, Keighley, near the company's Brambles housing development.

Sarah Barraclough, Skipton Properties' sales and marketing director, pictured, said: "Keighley has the highest number of unadopted roads within Bradford and as building work draws to a close at our Brambles development, we really wanted to make a lasting, positive contribution to the whole community on Damems Lane.

"We believe the resurfacing will provide residents with a much cleaner and safer environment in which to live and drive."

The work on the road will begin in early spring, coinciding with completion of the 89-home Brambles scheme.
