RAIL operator Northern is providing a lead when it comes to catering for canine customers.
The company has installed dog watering points at 138 of its staffed stations, including Keighley.
The move is part of a wider programme aimed at enhancing provision across the network.
And Northern has launched a campaign, A Better Way to Go, showcasing improvements.
Mark Powles, the company's customer and commercial director, said: "Our customers are at the heart of everything we do – whether they are human or canine!
"Dogs are welcome on our services and we want to provide the best journey possible for everyone.
"With warmer weather hopefully just around the corner, our new dog watering stations will help keep furry friends hydrated when they are on the go.
"Our A Better Way to Go campaign demonstrates the hard work that has taken place as we continue to transform rail travel in the north, and I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved."
Other improvements highlighted through the campaign – which is being promoted in stations, on trains and online – include a new fleet of 100 state-of-the-art trains plus 240 fully-refurbished units, improved onboard and station CCTV, and car park refurbishments.
