A SIX-strong group of staff from Long Lee Primary School has visited Spain.
The colleagues headed to Santander during the Easter holidays as part of an ongoing Erasmus+ project, which began in 2019 with EU funding.
The team – Hannah Brearley, Shelley Hiles, Katrina Kittsen, Katie Knight, Alison Sheriff and Sam Tretton – took part in daily Spanish language lessons.
And they spent a day at a school, Artúro Dúo in Castro Urdiales.
It was a return visit to the school for Mrs Tretton and Mrs Hiles, who took along letters that Long Lee year-five pupils had written.
Also, staff were interviewed for the school radio station.
Other activities during the trip included a Santander fact-finding treasure hunt, methodology classes and general meetings, and some exploration of the city.
"Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt that their ability and confidence in speaking Spanish had definitely improved," said Mrs Hiles.
