A NEW retail business opens in Keighley this Friday (June 3).
Clara's Closet – in Church Street – will mostly stock catalogue returns including shoes, clothing, furniture and homeware goods.
The initiative is a family affair – inspired by discussions between Sue Watson, her daughter Lianne Townend and relatives in Liverpool.
"Both Lianne and myself live in Keighley and we were becoming increasingly concerned at the closure of many shops within the town," said Sue.
"We wanted to create a retail experience with a difference, and with people facing ever-increasing prices we also had to make it affordable.
"Lianne will be promoting our business to potential clients through a Facebook live feed which allows customers to see the products and also interact. But for those who don’t have access to this we will offer face-to-face contact, promoting our goods in the comfort of people's own homes. This will also mean we can employ individuals to be at the forefront and represent our company. And of course not forgetting our shop, where every customer will be welcomed warmly! We will also offer click and collect and deliveries."
Sue added: "We are very excited about this journey and will put our heart and soul into making it work."
Attractions at Friday's opening will include Jubilee face painting for children.
