MORE than 100 people took part in an open-air service at Keighley's Cliffe Castle Park.
Yesterday's event was organised by Keighley Parish, as part of the extended Jubilee weekend.
Rector of Keighley, Canon Mike Cansdale, said: "The Queen's Platinum Jubilee coincided with our Pentecost celebrations and so it felt like the perfect combination.
"Pentecost is like the birthday of the church, as Jesus followers received the Holy Spirit and took to the streets to tell the good news.
"There were members of at least six different churches at the event, and quite a few passers by who stayed to take part.
"It can be a bit nerve-wracking organising an outdoor event like this – and even though it wasn't warm, we're glad the rain held off. I think we'll be back again, so watch this space! I'm really grateful to the team at Cliffe Castle and I hope this was a fitting end to a fantastic weekend."
