TWO women who met whilst taking their pets to dog agility sessions are joining forces for a charity fundraiser.
Claire Burke and Jane Lawrence, with pooches Fern and Flo, will run for five minutes every half an hour over a 24-hour period.
And they are inviting other dog owners to join them.
Jane is a fundraiser and group coach at Haworth Riding for the Disabled, and Claire works as a support advisor for North Yorkshire charity Dementia Forward.
The duo is raising money for the two causes.
The challenge will take place at the Haworth Riding for the Disabled stables, in Vale Mill Lane, starting at 4pm on Saturday, August 6.
On the Sunday, between 11am and 3pm, there will be stalls and a range of family activities.
"We're inviting other dog owners to take part – and we've been inundated with requests from people wanting to run the course," says Claire.
"Myself and Jane met whilst taking our dogs to the FAST dog training club in Oxenhope and discovered we had more in common than just a love of dogs. We both work for charities we're passionate about – and are up for a challenge!"
