When Brian and Margaret Lobley from Riddlesden were approaching their 50th wedding anniversary, they knew they wanted to have a fast-paced celebration.
So they decided to book a carriage on the volunteer-run Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.
The couple, who were married on February 12, 1958, at the former Bradford Holy Trinity Church, invited over 40 friends and family to ride the scenic route from Keighley to Oxenhope while enjoying drinks and a finger buffet.
Mr Lobley, 74, said: "Even my best man was there, and I haven't seen him in five years.
"My wife's eldest brother was there too and she hasn't seen him for ages, and he gave her away at our wedding.
"We went on the Jubilee Coach and everybody had a great time, some people even got off at Haworth and had a walk round and then got back on the next time the train came by!"
Mr Lobley said they thought the Saturday afternoon buffet car was an original idea, and thanked all the volunteer staff who helped to make their celebration one to remember.
"All the staff were fantastic, even the man behind the bar I know was a volunteer. We just want to say a really big thank you to them," he said.
Mr Lobley, who worked as an accountant before he retired, said the key to a happy marriage was tolerance.
He added: "I don't know what our secret is - good choice and a lot of luck!"
Mrs Lobley, 69, and her husband have lived at their address in Newlyn Road for over 40 years and the couple have three children and six grandchildren together.
